About NCC


The National Cadet Corps is the youth wing of Armed Forces with its headquarters at New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Wing, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organisation which recruits cadets from high schools, higher secondary, colleges and universities of all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course. The NCC is a responsive, learning and continuously evolving organization. It encourages cadets to have a sense of patriotic commitment, to contribute to national development, respect for diversities in religion, language, culture, ethnicity, life style and habitat. The NCC provides opportunities to the youth of the country for their all-round development with a sense of Duty, Commitment, Dedication, Discipline and Moral Values so that they become able leaders and useful citizens. The NCC provides exposure to the cadets in a wide range of activities, with a distinct emphasis on Social Services, Discipline and Adventure Training.

It helps to create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and be always available for the service of the Nation. It also provides a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces.

NCC is a highly reputed body that is also a second line of defence. In India, many youngsters are trained in line with defence in case the need arises. If young students want to make it their career option, then being an NCC cadet holds a lot of weight. As they are directly associated with the ministry of defence.

The NCC is open to all regular students of the collegeson a voluntary basis.
